The reason is that sometimes when its cold the lube, grease, dirt\u00a0or what ever acts like glue the WD40 will loosen\u00a0it up but it is messy so be careful not to get it on anything!<\/li>\n

  18. Remove all\u00a0ropes!<\/a><\/li>\n
  19. Make sure the door is\u00a0balanced<\/a>\u00a0and moves easy. If not troubleshoot door\u00a0EXTENSION<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0TORSION<\/a><\/li>\n

    1\u00a0 MOTOR DOESN’T\u00a0RUN WHEN\u00a0WALL BUTTON IS PRESSED<\/div>\n
    – Check the safety sensors HERE<\/a><\/div>\n
    – Check\u00a0if lock button is on
    \n– Check the outlet in the ceiling where the motor is plugged into see if you have power
    \n– Check wires to motor terminals
    \n– Check down limit     HERE<\/a><\/div>\n
    – Wait 20 minutes if motor overheated<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    2 THE DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES BY ITSELF<\/div>\n
    – Check that your remote is not sticking
    \n– Check that the wall button is not sticking
    \n– Check the wires for staples<\/div>\n
    -If nothing else works it might be a ghost HERE<\/a><\/div>\n

    3 DOOR STARTS DOWN THEN STOPS AND GOES BACK UP<\/div>\n
    – Check safety sensors\u00a0HERE<\/a>
    \n– Check safety reversal system<\/div>\n

    4 DOOR WILL ONLY CLOSE<\/div>\n
    – Check open limit\u00a0HERE<\/a><\/div>\n
    – Check open force HERE<\/a>
    \n– Check if door\u00a0is sticking, binding\u00a0or falling
    \n– Check lock on wall button<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    5 DOOR WILL ONLY OPEN<\/div>\n
    – Check safety sensors\u00a0HERE<\/a>
    \n– Check down limit\u00a0    HERE<\/a><\/div>\n
    – Check if door\u00a0is sticking, binding or falling
    \n– Check down force\u00a0    HERE<\/a><\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    6 MOTOR RUNS BUT DOESN’T MOVE<\/div>\n
    – Check carriage or traveler is engaged or is not bad
    \n– Check that the screw coupling is not \u00a0missing\u00a0    HERE<\/a><\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    7 MY REMOTE HAS STOP WORKING OR LESS THEN 10 FEET RANGE – It’s radio\u00a0interference!<\/div>\n
    – Replace battery
    \n– Add an antenna to the antenna<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    8\u00a0 MY DOOR WON’T\u00a0CLOSE UNLESS\u00a0I HOLD THE WALL BUTTON
    \n– Check safety sensors\u00a0    HERE<\/a>
    \n– Make sure that there are no spider webs on sensor\u00a0 or the bottom of the doors
    \n– Make sure that the sensor on the left is looking at the one on the right<\/div>\n

    9 PROGRAM YOUR REMOTE OR KEYLESS ENTRY PAD
    \n–\u00a0To program the remote…<\/div>\n
    –\u00a0Press and release the learn button on the motor HERE<\/a><\/div>\n
    –\u00a0Then press the remote 4 times then the door should be moving<\/div>\n
    <\/div>\n
    To program your keyless entry pad…<\/div>\n
    –\u00a0Press 357 then program then enter your four number pin then like 1234 then press program<\/div>\n
    –\u00a0Then press the learn button HERE<\/a>\u00a0on the motor then go back to the keyless entry pad\u00a0and enter your pin like 1234 \u00a0 \u00a0– Finally press the up\/down arrow 4 times and the door should move!<\/div>\n

    10 ERASE MY CODES\u00a0AND\u00a0REMOTE NOW<\/div>\n
    –\u00a0Press and hold the learn button until the red light goes out.\u00a0HERE<\/a><\/div>\n
    –\u00a0Next reprogram remote and keypad by following instructions in number 9<\/div>\n
