How to set your garage door limit. This is for NON DC or OLDER LIFTMASTER MOTORS<\/div>\n
\n

Move the car out of the garage and then get a ladder and put it under the front of the motor.
\nYour will need a 2 1\/2 inch wrench 1 flat head screwdriver
\n

Then un plug the motor for the outlet and then losen the chain with the 2 1\/2 inch wrench then go to the the up limit and turn it 3 full turns in the OPPOSITE of the arrow I

Then plug the motor back into the outlet and go to the wall button and push it for 3 to 5 seconds that will make the traveler or trolley move of that bolt then push the wall button again\u00a0if the traveler\u00a0doesn’t hit the bolt then you may

Unplug the motor for the outlet and tighten the chain back and then plug the motor back into the outlet<\/p>\n

IF THAT DID’NT WORK CLEAN THE LIMITS<\/p>\n

IF that doesn’t work unplug the motor from the outlet and clean the limits with a fine piece of sandpaper MARKED IN RED

If you turn the DOWN limit in the direction of the arrow your telling the motor to close more<\/p>\n

If you turn the DOWN liimit in the OPPOSITED direction of the arrow your telling the motor to close less<\/p>\n

If you turn the UP limit in the directionof the arrow your telling the motor to open more<\/p>\n

If you turn the UP limit in the OPPOSITE direction of the arrow your telling the motor to open less Ok<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
